Play, Watch, Learn
As a member of the Organizational Learning and Leadership Development at Central Piedmont Community College, I created a variety of videos from marketing the department to instructional videos embedded in online courses. The videos were created to serve the community of both faculty and staff, and utilize college branding and assets. All videos were scripted and edited by me with AI narration from Wellsaid Labs and video, motion graphics, and editing from Canva. Any footage of Central Piedmont campuses or employees were recorded by me.
The introduction of your true self is a recipe of importance; you never know who will love your ingredients.
– Jesus Apolinaris
This video introduces the college to the new OL/LD department and the current leaders of the division. Many of the employees have been at the college for several years, so this video aims to assist the transition and introduce the new divisions. I captured video, wrote the script, and edited the video and audio.
Meet Me There!
This video is part of a longer training for onboarding Department Chairs at the college. It walks learners through Ad Astra Schedule, a tool used for scheduling rooms and events at the college. I captured screenshots, wrote the script, and edited the video and audio.
Jargon, Noun: A Special Word or Expression
This video is a part of a longer training for developing SMART Course Outcomes. The goal of the video was to create a scenario-style walkthrough of how jargon can alienate learners and how to fix it when used. The instructional designer gave me the content and I wrote the script, created the motion graphics, and edited the video and audio.
Politeness is a sign of dignity, not subservience.
―Theodore Roosevelt
This video is included in every course at Central Piedmont Community College. The goal of the video was to teach students how to communicate with their professors during the course both online and in-person.
